The Partners

In 2003 Robert Pregulman and Randy Hale received a Stray Dog lamp as a wedding gift. It came from Jane Gray and Billy Pritchard. Robert and Billy had been good friends since they met in high school, some 30 years before. Needless to say, Robert and Randy loved the lamp and so did everyone who saw it in their Seattle home.

A year later Robert, then the Executive Director of an environmental group, and Randy, an oncology social worker, visited Chattanooga. They enjoyed dinner with Jane and Billy, and the next morning they dropped by the Stray Dog warehouse.

They were so impressed with the product line, the company values, and the huge amount of publicity Stray Dog had received that Robert proposed, then and there, that they invest in the company. To which Jane retorted, "Invest? We want you to help us run it!"

And so, in 2006, Robert and Randy became partners in Stray Dog Designs. They now manage the West Coast Office from beautiful Seattle, Washington, assisted by their 2 cats, and 2 dogs -- a sweet chocolate Lab named Dylan, and Miguel, a charming rascal of an uncertain breed, and -- of course -- a former stray dog.
